There are plenty of roulette systems for sale out there. And all those people trying to sell them will have you believe that their system is a sure way of beating roulette. Unfortunately many players actually believe that those systems are a foolproof way of beating roulette. The truth is that those systems aren't any good. They do not work.
There are ways of beating roulette. Just that not by using a system.
Let's take a look at the reasons why mathematical roulette systems do not work.
The spins are completely random. Every time the ball is spun every number has the same chance of coming up. It the ball has stopped on red for the last 10 rounds you would be tempted to bet that black will win on the next spin. The truth is that the chances of the ball stopping on red or black are 50-50. It doesn't matter if the ball has stopped on red for the last 10, 20 or even 100 rounds. Its chances of stopping on red or black are the same for every spin.
The outcome of the previous spin has no influence on the current spin. All the spins are independent and random. If a certain number has come up on the last spin this does not guarantee that it will not come up again in the current round. Also if a number hasn't come up in a while it doesn't mean it has better chances to come up in the current round. Every time the ball is spun all the numbers have the same chances of coming up, regardless of what numbers have come up in previous spins. Each spin is independent from previous spins.
As we have seen so far there is no data to analyze. Mathematical systems need this data, but since there is no such data how can such a system work? There is no conclusive piece of information on which to use a precise mathematical formula. As a matter of fact a foolproof mathematical system is a contradiction in terms.
Applying a precise mathematical formula will accurately tell you what will happen. This is not the case because roulette is a game of pure luck. You cannot accurately predict the outcome of the game, it is all up to luck.
The 3 step roulette system is not as much a system as a guideline to the things you must do in order to increase your chances of winning. Roulette is based on pure luck and no mathematical system will yield positive results. The only thing left to do is pick the right table and make the bets that have the best odds. This is the only way to increase your odds and beat roulette.
Step 1: Find an European roulette game
You may not think that there is much of a difference between European and American wheels. After all, both of them have all the numbers 1 to 36 on them, plus a 0. The only difference is that the American wheel has an extra slot, the 00. That one extra slot is enough to double the house advantage. American wheels have a house advantage of 5.26%, as opposed to the European wheels which have a house advantage of 2.7%.
Step 2: Know which bets to avoid
As a rule of thumb you should always avoid single number bets. They may offer tempting payouts, but the house never pays true odds on these bets. A Straight bet for example offers a 35-to-1 payout for example. But the odds on such a bet are actually 38-to-1.
The worst bet in roulette is the Five number bet. It has the biggest house advantage and the worst chances of winning. You can only place a five number bet if you are playing an American roulette game, and if you remember the first step you should avoid American roulette wheels.
Step 3: Know which bets to make
Bets like Even, Odd, Low, (1 to18), High, (19 to 36), Red, or Black are even money bets that offer payouts close to the odds you are facing. Even money means that you will receive a payout of 1-to-1 when winning such a bet. You are advised to place such even money, close to their real odds bets. Your chances of winning these bets are 45%.
Finally we have just one more thing to add. Step one advises you to play European roulette. You must know that usually European roulette offers the "en prison" option. You should find European games that offer this option. If you have placed an even money bet and the ball stopped on 0 you can use the "en prison" option. This means that your chips remain on the table and the next spin will determine if you lose your bet or get your money back. If you win you will net receive a payout, but you will get you bet back, which is better than losing it. The house advantage is a low 1.35%, the lowest in roulette.
Keep these steps in mind when playing roulette. They are better that any mathematical roulette system that promises to consistently win. Those systems will not work simply because roulette is a game of pure luck. But our simple 3 steps will definitely help you increase your odds. This is the only thing that you can do if you want to beat roulette. Good luck, and remember to have fun. Winning is never a guarantee when playing roulette, but nobody's doubting the game's entertainment value.
