It is said that the first step to anything is communication, so the first step in roulette should be then learning the roulette vocabulary. Red-Black Bet: you wither wager in black or red numbers of the roulette wheel. Pays even money.

Six Number Bets: similar to the street bets in roulette this one covers two adjacent rows of numbers. The Six Number Bet has a 5:1 payout.

Split Bet: this is a simple bet made on only two numbers of the roulette wheel and pays out 17:1. To make this bet you need to lay down your chips across the line between the two numbers.

Straight Up Bet: this is the best bet in roulette if you manage to win as it pays 35:1. This is a bet on only one number of the roulette wheel.

Street Bet: this is a bet on a row and is done by placing your chip at the end of the row you wish and so each number in it is covered. The Street Bet has an 11:1 payout.
