> The payout rules for American & European Roulette |
Apr 15th 2007
Since we have previously discussed about the roulette bets it is time to move on to the casino roulette betting rules. These rules are applied to both online casinos or land casinos.
The odds for the 36 numbers (from 1 to 36) influence the payouts both in the American and European roulette version. The payout rules which are about to be mentioned are applied to both roulette versions:
The Straight bet: this bet is made on a single number and it pays 35-1.
The Split bet: Any line that divides two adjacent numbers is the place to make the split bet. If the ball stops on either one of that number then it is a win. 17-1 is the payout for this bet.
The Street bet: By placing a bet on the bottom vertical line, the player can place a bet on three numbers in any vertical row. If the ball stops on any of those three numbers then it is a win. 11-1 is the payout for this win.
The Corner bet: Place the bet in the middle of four numbers and in case the ball stops on one of those numbers it is a win. The payout for this bet is of 8-1.
The Line bet: Place the bet on the outside lines that split two rows of numbers. All six numbers will be covered in this case. If the ball stops on any of those six numbers then it is a win. The payout for this bet is of 5-1.
The Column bet: Place a bet on one of the three horizontal columns. All the twelve numbers included in that line will be covered. It is a win if the ball stops on any of those numbers. The payout for this bet is of 2-1. It is a loss if the ball stops on 0.
The Dozen bet: A bet is placed on any of the third outside boxes. They are marked 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Each box represents twelve numbers, the first one form 1 to 12, the second one from 13 to 24 and the third one 25 to 36. It is a win if the ball stops on any of the numbers represented by the box. The payout for this bet is of 2-1. It is a loss if the ball stops on 0.
The Even bet: A bet can be placed on either odd or even numbers. The payout for this bet is 1-1. It is a loss if the ball stops on 0.
